Instructor

Eric joined Writopia Labs as a Creative Writing instructor in March 2026. He is a playwright and stage director originally from Dallas, TX. His plays have been presented around the United States and in South Korea. This includes his full-length play, THE DEBASERS, which was produced at the University of Houston under the guidance of Theresa Rebeck and won the Edward Albee Playwriting Award. He’s a founding member of the Rec Room Writers Group where his play TUZ & SOLY received an audio production as part of their Sound Scripts series. He’s developed other work with the Farm Theatre, Valdez Theatre Conference, Curious Theatre Company, and Rec Room Arts. He’s currently pursuing his MFA in Playwriting at Brooklyn College where he serves as an adjunct instructor in the English Composition department.
