Caitlin Rimshnick

Caitlin Rimshnick has joyfully led Writopia Lab workshops since August 2025. Writing has always been her safe space to introspect and forge connections. She is delighted to help introduce such a magical craft to young writers. Caitlin holds a B.A. from Kenyon College and an M.F.A. in Creative Nonfiction Writing from Columbia University, where she taught essay writing to undergraduates for several years. She got her start as a journalist, publishing articles in major outlets such as The Denver Post and Westword, on topics ranging from dirty grill contests to gun control laws. She adores writing personal essays and pop culture criticism. Her creative work has appeared in The New York Times and Noteworthy, among other publications. Caitlin has also studied and written both fiction and poetry, and she is passionate about teaching all genres! When she is not devoting herself to the literary arts, Caitlin enjoys swimming laps (slowly), chatting with her children, and crushing moderately challenging crossword puzzles.
